In regard to students from our World Bachelor in Business (WBB) program applying for positions within professional business organizations (both internships and full-time roles), it has come to our attention that there are questions around student academic records that would be helpful to clarify. We understand the rigor and evenness with which you approach your search and interview processes for both internship and full-time programs, and wanted to provide you with information that might be helpful as you examine applications from students in this program.
Students spend their first year at USC, their second year at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and their third year at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Each student then chooses independently which of the three universities to attend in his/her fourth year. Upon completion of the program, students earn three bachelor’s degrees, one from each of the partnering universities.
Given the vastly different grading systems at each of the three universities, settling on a formula to calculate a cumulative GPA for students in this program is not possible. We are working on creating a more detailed cumulative grade report that explains their academic program. In the interim, students can provide unofficial transcripts from each of the universities, but do not have a singular grade tracking report.
